Courtney Love sued by management firm
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Rock-star widow Courtney
Love has been sued by a management firm for allegedly failing
to pay commissions for the partial sale of her share of the
Nirvana publishing catalogue.
The suit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Tuesday by
the management firm London & Co.
Love, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, sold a
portion of the catalogue for $19.5 million last year. London
was hired to provide business management services to Love and
was to be paid 5% of the revenues received by Love, according
to the lawsuit.
Love's attorney, Howard Weitzman, said of the allegations,
"I'm aware there's an issue between London Co. and Courtney,
but I have not seen the lawsuit."
London is asking for $975,000 it claims it is owed as well
as costs of the suit.
