A good watchable intellectual film. I found myself in a different state at the end of it. Got me thinking about lost opportunities.

I liked the acting overall. Collette was outstanding to me. I was a bit disapointed by Redgrave's acting. She played quite youthfully at times and was not believable. At other times she was brilliant. Perhaps better direction was needed. Also Collette's story did not work for me. The quick change from one extreme to the other in her decision making was not real. Her psychological character should've been more suttle and delicate.

Excellent story sequence. Well blended jumps between present and past. Very good cinematography and perfectly suitable soundtrack, which can be enjoyed on its own.

I do recommend it.
