Best Thing: True to life, haunting soundtrack, sweeping visuals
Worst Thing: a wee bit choppy in the story telling dept
This film delivers a month or so in the life of the people who are involved with Jack, an Aussie bloke in a temporary labouring job in a remote oyster farming community.
In a very gentle manner the director has this very good looking guy commit a heist of an armoured vehicle, lose the proceeds, start a romance, support his recovering sis, save a marriage, find the stolen money and learn a life lesson .
In anti hollywood fashion there are no heart stopping climaxes or moments of anticipatory dread but a beguiling steady pace set to an appropriately haunting score.
Visually a treat. Shot in a straight forward manner with aerial views to put it all into perspective.
Definately worth a look.
