Three Good Reasons

Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime. In a move sure to please the most hardcore fanboy, the voice of the Autobot leader Optimus Prime has been provided by Peter Cullen, the voice actor who brought Prime to life in the orginal 80s cartoon.

Hugo Weaving as Megatron. Weaving has been on the scene for some time now, but it was his chilling turn in The Matrix that truly endeared him to audiences worldwide. Take the voice of Agent Smith, place it inside a giant, evil robot - a match made in heaven.

Giant Robots Fighting. If there is a film released this summer with a cooler selling point, we're yet to see it. Look for Transformers to make giant robots an obsession all over again.

Some Facts

Several anamatronic robots were built so that the actors had realistic, physical props to act with, including a full scale Bumblebee, Megatron's legs, Blackout's feet and a fully working version of Optimus Prime's head.
