Ride (1998)

Smokey Banks is a bull-riding champ who has seen better days. He's now low on money--due to too many nights gambling and boozing--and is soon sentenced to a community service camp working with underpriviledged kids. One of the kids, Danny, knows about Smokey's glory days and asks Smokey to teach him how to stay in the saddle. Smokey finds in himself leadership qualities he never thought he had and Danny, goes on to compete at a junior rodeo.
