Synopsis
Public defender Tony Smalls is called upon to defend his sister's boyfriend, the reputed leader of the notorious MVP gang in Detroit. The trial becomes a battleground to determine who really controls the fate of young black men in a criminal justice system increasingly privatized by multi-national corporations.
