Synopsis

Set in England between wars, the film examines the frenetic but shallow lives of a group of people who indulge in constant party-going, heavy drinking and promiscuous sex. Amidst the chaos is Adam Fenwick-Symes, a destitute young writer who hungers for Nina Blount, the daughter of an eccentric aristocrat. Based on the novel by Evelyn Waugh.
