Synopsis

This second collaboration between director Susanne Bier and scriptwriter Anders Thomas Jensen is about people's lives being turned upside down by events outside their control. Michael has everything sorted: a successful military career, a beautiful wife and family. His younger brother Jannik is a drifter, living on the edge of the law. When Michael is sent to Afghanistan on a UN mission the balance between the two brothers changes forever.
