Synopsis
Based on Gillian Slovo's novel of the same name and set during South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings of 2001, "Red Dust" is the story of a fight for truth through a myriad of lies, regret and confusion. Hilary Swank plays attorney Sarah Barcant, brought to her original homeland of South Africa to represent Alex Mpondo and Steve Sizela, both allegedly brutally beaten and tortured by the police when arrested as political activists in 1986.
