Odd Man Out (1947)

James Mason plays Johnny, the idealist leader of an illegal organisation who has escaped from prison. He holds up a linen mill in order to gain money but during the raid is shot and badly wounded. After falling from the getaway car, Johnny is forced to hide in the city and finds himself in the company of three shady characters. As the police hunt him down, Johnny searches for Kathleen, the woman he loves.
