One Hundred Nails (2007)

In a startling prologue, the overseer of an ancient library screams out in horror and summons the authorities when he discovers 100 rare manuscripts nailed to the floor with giant railroad spikes. We then follow a young theology professor from the University of Bologna as he retreats from his complex university life to a deserted farmhouse on the River Po, abandoning everything - friends, family and all material possessions.
