This beautiful tribute to radical British filmmaker, artist and activist Derek Jarman, from his rebellion against his 50s patrician childhood, through his life as a young artist in swinging 60s London, to years of activism against first Thatcher-era homophobia and then AIDS, Jarman embodied the idea of the artist as an eloquent scream.
