Next Stop, Wonderland (1998)

Set in Boston, a humorous meditation on romance, friendship and destiny involving Erin, a night-shift nurse who's been recently dumped by her activist boyfriend and Alan, an ambitious ex-plumber struggling to fulfill his dream of being a marine biologist. Although Erin, and Alan's totally unrelated paths cross on more than one occasion, destiny seems dedicated in keeping the lonely nurse and the over-burdened plumber apart--until finally they come together in the most unlikely of Boston locales.
