Like many South American countries, Peru exists in a constant state of social and political turmoil, largely out of the sight and minds of the rest of the world. Documentary filmmaker Heddy Honigmann returns to her home city of Lima to find that the gap between the elite and the masses has widened even further than since she last filmed there in 1994. Honigmann talks with locals from all walks of life - from a barman who served the country's past presidents, to a 14-year-old who is already giving up on the future - piecing together a complex jigsaw on the state of a nation.
