H-Story (2001)

Filmmaker Nobuhiro Suwa has gathered cast and crew in his native city, Hiroshima, to direct a re-make of the classic Alain Resnais film "Hiroshima, Mon Amour" (France/Japan/1959). French actress Beatrice Dalle, cinematographer Caroline Champetier and writer Kou Machida, an emblem of contemporary Japanese literature, join Suwa in the challenging task of re-interpreting complex emotions linked to a singular time and place in the past.
