Walk the Line (2006)

Joaquin Phoenix stars (and sings) as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon stars (and sings) as June Carter in this true story of an honest sound that became a revolution, a man who became an icon, and a love that saved him from destruction. Developed for seven years with the cooperation of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, writer/director James Mangold focuses "Walk the Line" on the period in the mid-50s when rock-and-roll exploded from a tiny studio in Memphis, Tennessee.
