Oyun (2005)

Nine peasant women living in Arslankoy, on the Toros mountain range, spend their days working incessantly in the fields, on a construction site and at home. To lighten the burden of life, they gather for a completely different reason: they want to write and perform a play based on their lives. They meet at the school, working with the principal, Mr. Huseyin, laying bare the story of the lives that they were even afraid to tell themselves, confronting them in the doing. For days on end, under the curious gaze of the village men, they work tirelessly until creating a play entitled "The Outcry of Women."
