Zapiski Putevogo Obkhodchika (2006)

An old blind man lives in a remote area of Kazakhstan, in the train station where his son works as a railway traffic controller. Trusting in his intuition and wisdom, the man controls the condition of the railroad tracks for his son, but this arrangement proves difficult each time the person responsible for measuring the tracks, who uses ultramodern technology, arrives from the city. The son thus finds himself torn between whether he should trust his father's intuition or the professionalism of the technician, well aware that the life of the passengers traveling through the area he controls depends on his decision.
