On a side street in Harlem in 1958, dozens of jazz musicians congregated for an unprecedented photograph for "Esquire" magazine, taken by the then-unknown photographer Art Kane. This documentary talks with a number of the jazz greats who participated in this photograph and offers a richly textured recreation of the event itself.
