Synopsis
Australian communist Joan Fraser engages in a devoted correspondence with her idol, Joseph Stalin, and finally meets - and sleeps with - him on the last night of his life. Nine months later she bears a son who she names Joe; a young man who grows up to be an agitator worthy of his lineage.
