Lawson, Kate Tempest and Shamir have been added to The Great Escape festival line-up.

The 'Standing in the Dark' hitmakers are just one of 100 acts announced to play at the three-day metropolitan festival in Brighton in May, as well as the Mercury Prize nominated spoken word artist and the 'On the Regular' rapper.

The annual event - which will celebrate its 10th birthday this year - will also host performances from indie four-piece Swim Good, girl group M.O, London-based MC Stormzy and R&B singer Kelela.

Other acts include New Zealand pop duo BROODS, rockers Nothing But Thieves, electronic pop group Kate Boy and BBC Sound of 2015 shortlisted act George the Poet.

The latest wave of acts adds to the previously announced Django Django, Ibeyi, Laura Doggett, Lapsley, Alabama Shakes and many more, with further acts set to be announced in the coming weeks to complete the line-up which will feature more than 300 artists across 30 venues.

The festival - which has been dubbed Europe's leading new music festival - has previously featured performances from successful acts before they garnered mainstream success such as Bastille, Iggy Azalea, Alt J, Katy B, The 1975 and Tinie Tempah.

Running from May 14-16, tickets for the festival are on sale now.
