Naya Rivera wanted a baby "for a long time."

The 'Glee' actress recently revealed she is expecting her first child with husband Ryan Dorsey, and her co-star Jenna Ushkowitz has no doubts she is going to be "a great mom."

Asked about the couple's happy news, the 28-year-old beauty said: "I know she's wanted one for a long time and she just got married."

But Jenna, who recently completed filming the final episode of the series, admits she was initially surprised when Naya revealed the news on her blog and social media last month, writing: "We're having a baby! Ryan and I feel so blessed and can't wait to welcome the newest member of our family."

She told E! News: "I found out through her Instagram and I texted her, and I said 'Oh my goodness, what's going on?'

"I wish her the best. And she's going to be a great mom."

Naya and Ryan, 31, got married in a secret ceremony at the Las Ventanas al Paraiso resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in front of 12 guests last July.

The 28-year-old actress first met her spouse in a nightclub four years ago and they became friends before their whirlwind romance took off following her split from rapper Big Sean in April.
