Aimee Osbourne launching music career

Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's oldest daughter is launching a music career.

Aimee Osbourne - who records under the name ARO - has previously shunned the spotlight, refusing to take part in family reality show 'The Osbournes', and "fought" against her ambition but is now ready to share her sound with the world.

She said: "I fought it for a long time.

"It's natural to want to rebel against what your parents do. Once I accepted music was my path, I rebelled by wanting to do it my own way. I also didn't think it was respectful to my father's career and creativity to assume that I could jump on the back of all he had worked his entire life for."

Aimee, 31, has debuted her first song, 'Raining Gold', with her mother Sharon promoting the video on Twitter yesterday (04.03.15).

Alongside a picture of her daughter's glitter tear-streaked eyes and a link to the video, Sharon wrote: "Introducing my daughter Aimee Rachel to the world..."

Speaking about the track, Aimee said it is about being freed from manipulation after being "trapped in a broken dynamic".

She told website Fader: "'Raining Gold' is about feeling trapped in a broken dynamic. Feeling so worn out and turned upside down from manipulation can make you feel like you're in a daze.

"I wanted to capture how paralysing that can feel, as well as how empowering it is once you have the realisation that you have a choice and can break free from the dizzying effects of allowing yourself to be controlled."
