Channing Tatum pleads with public to help find lost bag

Channing Tatum has asked the public to help him locate his lost backpack.

The 'Magic Mike' star took to his Twitter account to beg his followers for help finding the bag after he accidentally left the rucksack in a taxi in New York City yesterday (18.04.15).

The star wrote to his seven million followers: "Dropped off at 42nd street in New York City and left my bag in the cab!"

He then shared an email address where people could send him information about the backpack's whereabouts.

He posted: "Seriously, left my black backpack in a cab near NYC's 42nd street. If you find it, email me at findmybag@channingtatumunwrapped.com. Thanks!"

The 34-year-old actor was quickly inundated with tweets from hopeful ladies joking about finding the bag, with one twitter user claiming:"It's in my house."

However, Allan Fromberg, a spokesperson from New York City's The Taxi and Limousine Commission has also offered the star some helpful advice to aid him in retracing his property, although they insist his celebrity status won't allow him any special treatment.

He told the New York Daily News newspaper: "I would encourage him to remain optimistic. We've been able to to help people in the past."
