Tom Cruise was 'scared' for his life during stunt

Tom Cruise was "scared s**tless" on the set of 'Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation'.

The 52-year-old star - who enjoys doing most of his own stunts - admits he feared for his life when he had to hang off a flying plane eight times while shooting a scene for the upcoming film.

Asked about the experience, the star said: "I was actually scared s**tless.

"As always, I will do everything I can to entertain an audience and put as many people into your theatres...I'm an aerobatic pilot and I've always wanted to do that.

"I was in a harness, on my side, that was kind of loose so you can see the vibration of my body against the plane."

Tom, who also got behind the wheel to film several car chases in Morocco for the action movie, claims he almost got injured when the plane landed, despite the crew making every effort to clear the runway of birds and debris.

He told the crowd at CinemaCon in Las Vegas: "I got hit by just a little particle. I literally thought it broke my ribs."

The actor is very excited for the fifth installment of the franchise to be released on July 31, 2015, according to UsMagazine.com.

He said: "It's really a dream come true. This movie has a tremendous amount of action of course, but also intrigue and mission twists."
