Chris Brown is Anthony Watson's good luck charm

Rugby star Anthony Watson listens to Chris Brown before games for good luck.

The Bath Rugby player has revealed he always has to have Brown's 'Ayo' pumping out of the speakers as part of his pre-match ritual, otherwise he thinks his chances of playing well are diminished.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Anthony said: "I always listen to one song before a game - Chris Brown's 'Ayo'. It is just a chilled song and I have listened to it every game since I was 16 and it always does the trick."

Although hearing the right music is important to him before he takes to the field, the 21-year-old sports hunk has rid himself of many of his pre-match routines because he was becoming too superstitious.

He said: "I have had to cut down the amount of rituals I have before playing rugby".

But he does still get a haircut before every fixture and always has to put his left sock on before he slips on his right sock.

Revealing his hair routine, he said: "If you feel good, you play good, well I do."

Established in 1865 Bath Rugby are one of the oldest rugby clubs in England and will be celebrating their 150th Anniversary next season.

Anthony and his teammates are playing London Saracens in the Aviva Premiership Final today (30.05.15) which is the culmination of the Aviva Premiership season and the last club fixture before the World Cup starts begins in September.
