Channing Tatum is saving for therapy

Channing Tatum is "setting aside money" for therapy for his daughter.

The 'Magic Mike XXL' star, who has a two-year-old little girl, Everly, with actress wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum, is already preparing to have to sit her down to tell her "once upon a time, Daddy played a stripper" in the future and hopes the risqué film doesn't scar her for life.

The 35-year-old actor said: "She's gonna see it; there's no way I could shelter her from it. I'm setting aside money for college and for therapy."

Despite being worried about Everly seeing the movie, which is loosely based on his own experiences as a stripper in Florida before his acting career took off, he told PEOPLE magazine: "But you know, I can't change the fact that I did this in real life. I'm not ashamed of anything I've ever done. I think we teach better through our behaviour and by our experiences rather than trying to design some lesson."

Channing credits Everly and Jenna, 34, for helping him to stay grounded in Hollywood.

He explained: "None of this is easy but at the same time it's everything I would have ever wanted.

"Having a family and a little girl, it really makes things super clear."

Asked about what makes his marriage to Jenna work, he added: "We're a good support system for each other. We keep pushing each other to grow and be better. I don't think I could do it any other way [than with her].

"I've had way more luck than most people deserve. I'm just the luckiest guy."
