Ciara abstaining from sex

Ciara and her boyfriend are abstaining from sex.

The 'Goodies' singer agreed to compile with Russell Wilson's request they abstain from lovemaking after he claimed to have received a message from God and he thinks the decision has made their relationship stronger.

He said: "[Ciara] was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me.

"He said, 'I need you to lead her.' I told her, 'What would you do if we took all that "extra stuff" off the table, and just did it Jesus' way?'

"I said to her - and she completely agreed - 'Can we love each other without that?'

"If you can love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody."

However, the 26-year-old NFL star admitted it isn't always easy sticking to the sex ban.

Speaking during an interview with Pastor Miles McPherson at San Diego's Rock Church, he said: "I ain't gonna lie to y'all now - I need you to pray for us.

"I know y'all have seen her on the screen. If there's a 10, she's a 15."

And Russell feels blessed to have the 29-year-old singer - who has 13-month-old son Future with her former partner, rapper Future - in his life.

He said: "I knew that God had brought me into her life to bless her and for her to bless me."
