Janet Jackson calls off world tour prep to be with ailing father

Janet Jackson has cancelled her production duties for The Unbreakable World Tour to be by her sick father's bedside.

The 'No Sleeep' hitmaker took a private jet to Sao Paulo, Brazil, yesterday (28.07.15) where her father, Joe Jackson was hospitalised following a stroke on his 87th birthday on Saturday (25.07.15), according to Us Weekly magazine.

An insider added that the 49-year-old singer is expected to stay with her father until his condition is stable.

On Monday (27.07.15) the Grammy-award-winning musician took to his website to inform fans that he would "be able to make a quick recovery and travel back home soon".

He wrote: "To my family, friends, acquaintances and fans all over the world. I want to thank you all for your prayers, unwavering support and kind well wishes during these trying times. Through God's intervention the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and caretakers at the Albert Einstein Sao Paulo hospital have taken great care of me. God willing, I should be able to make a quick recovery and travel back home soon. Thank you all once again for your prayers and support."
