Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert 'just friends'

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert want to move on as "friends".

The pair - whose divorce was finalised last week - sparked rumours they had reconciled after they enjoyed a playful exchange on Twitter last week but a source has insisted they have no plans to get back together.

The insider told Us Weekly magazine: "This was not a deliberate plan to show some kind of unified front.

"There are no hard feelings. They want to move on as friends, and they are doing just that."

In the friendly exchange on the micro blogging site, Blake wrote: "Hey @mirandalambert can u believe there's people who haven't bought @ashleymonroe new album? Isn't that shocking?!!"

The 31-year-old singer quickly replied to say: "@blakeshelton no I can't because it is the best work she has ever done! I love it! We love you @ashleymonroe"

The duo announced their split last week to fans only hours before news of the divorce being finalised was made public.

In the joint statement, they said: "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.

"We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
