Jennifer Garner visits sick boy

Jennifer Garner delighted a young cancer patient with a visit on Sunday (26.07.15).

The 43-year-old actress and her 'Miracles from Heaven' co-star Kylie Rogers, 11, took time out from filming in Atlanta to stop by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta of Scottish Rite to spend time with sick kids and nine-year-old Henry Shepherd was particularly excited to see her.

Henry's mother, Carrie Shepherd, said: "It was like hanging out with a friend.

"She was so sweet. When they told him he had a visitor and she popped in he got so excited, he knew exactly who she was. He is a big fan of hers."

Henry - who will undergo his final chemotherapy treatment tomorrow (31.07.15) - is a particular fan of 'Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day', which features a scene of Alexander's birthday party.

And Jennifer told him: "I hope you get your party."

And Henry - who was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2014 - will be welcomed home next week when friends and neighbours line the street and his lawn with balloons in celebration.

His mother told E! News: "He is such a trouper and a warrior. He has been so good with all the procedures and treatments."

The 'Alias' actress - who recently split from husband Ben Affleck, the father of her kids Violet, nine, Seraphina, six, and Samuel, three - was particularly affected by the visit.

Carrie told People magazine: "Someone said they saw her crying at the nurses' station after seeing all of the sick children with cancer. I think it really got to her, especially as a mother.

"She is a very sweet person with a very big heart."
