Matthew Broderick wants tips from wife

Matthew Broderick wants to get acting tips from Sarah Jessica Parker.

The 'Dirty Weekend' actor is set to appear in 'Sylvia' on Broadway, a play his wife - with who he has son James, 12, and twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, six - starred in two decades ago, so he is hoping she can help him out with his preparations.

He told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "She was so great, and I just hope we can be as good as they were.

"I saw her in it several times. Hopefully she will [give me some tips]."

The 53-year-old actor recently revealed that his long-lasting marriage to the 'Sex and the City' actress is based on "talking a lot".

He said: "We really are friends beyond everything else and we talk a lot.

"Keep talking I guess, I know how cliché that is. Too much silence is definitely not a good idea."

Despite their strong marriage, the couple were unable to celebrate Valentine's Day (14.02.15) together earlier this year because Matthew was working.

Asked their plans, Sarah previously revealed: "Well I'm actually going to be with my children because my husband's working, so I'm going to be with my children, but I think that's kind of nice. And actually I'll be with our babysitter too. I keep making fun of her, I'm like, 'We're spending Valentine's Day together Anna,' and she's like, 'Yeah, great.' "
