Bobby Brown doing 'as good as can be expected'

Bobby Brown is doing "as good as can be expected" after a difficult year.

The 47-year-old singer's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away in July, six months after she was found unresponsive in her bathtub, and Bobby is still coming to terms with the tragedy.

A source told E! News: "This has been a difficult year. When a person goes through something like this it makes you look around and think, 'What the hell is going on?' When you bury your child, it's just really hard - it's not how it's supposed to go.

"Under the circumstances, he is doing as good as can be expected."

Bobby turned 47 on Friday (05.02.16) and had planned a low-key celebration with his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown and their two children, son Cassius, six, and six-month-old daughter Bodhi.

The insider said: "Bobby will be remembering the wonderful days with the family that is no longer here - Krissi, Whitney [Houston, his ex-wife] and his parents."

It was previously revealed that Bobby has penned a deal with publishing company Dey Street Books to release his own memoir entitled 'My Prerogative' to document the anguish he went through when his 22-year-old daughter passed away.

He said: "Right after I signed on to write my story, I went through one of the most agonising traumas I had ever experienced with the death of my daughter."
