Liv Tyler needs 'village' on hand when she gives birth

Liv Tyler believes she'll need a whole "village" of doctors and midwives around her when she gives birth later this summer.

The 38-year-old actress is set to welcome her and her fiancé David Gardner's second child into the world this summer but she has admitted, if her labour with her 11-month-old son Sailor is anything to go by, she'll need a lot of help on hand.

She explained: "It's [labour is] a wonderful, magic, amazing experience, but it's pretty f***ing scary; a lot of stakes ... [when I was delivery Sailor] I cried and I was like, 'F*** you'. And I need a lot of help. It takes a village [when I give birth]."

But one person who will no doubt be glued to Liv's side when she delivers her little bundle of joy is her beau David.

The couple got engaged around Christmas time in 2014 but didn't confirm the news until November last year, and Liv - who also has 10-year-old son Milo from her marriage to musician Royston Langdo - has admitted she was far from her glamorous self when David got down on one knee.

She told ES Magazine: "I had no idea [about the proposal]. And I didn't look very attractive. I was pregnant and I was crying and had just come out of the shower and was unpacking. It wasn't very glamorous."

The full interview with Liv appears in this week's new-look issue of ES Magazine which is out today (11.02.16).
