Barry Manilow out of surgery

Barry Manilow is out of surgery and is doing well.

The 'Copacabana' hitmaker was rushed to Los Angeles to undergo emergency surgery after previous complications following an oral operation but is recovering now.

A post on his official Facebook reads: "Barry is out of surgery and doing well. His Doctors report that the surgery was successful and they expect no further complications. For the next forty eight hours, Manilow has been instructed not to talk, sing, or rap. Barry thanks everyone for their well wishes and concern. (sic)"

Meanwhile, health fears were first sparked for the 72-year-old singer when it emerged he had cancelled two performances to fly back to Los Angeles.

A previous statement read: "Following a triumphant sold out concert in Memphis, Barry Manilow was rushed back to Los Angeles due to complications from emergency oral surgery that Manilow had on Monday.

"Manilow's concerts in Highland Heights scheduled for tonight (Thursday, Feb 11) and Nashville (Feb 12) are being re-scheduled with new dates to be announced shortly. Ticket holders should retain their existing tickets for redemption on the night of the new date. (sic)"

It is still unknown whether Barry will attend Monday's (15.02.16) Grammy Awards.
