Ellie Goulding records new song with Calvin Harris

Ellie Goulding has recorded another collaboration with Calvin Harris - and she wants to know when it's coming out.

The Scottish DJ was taking part in a live interview on UK station BBC Radio One on Friday morning (29.04.16) and Ellie sent in a question asking when the vocals she recorded for Calvin would be being heard.

Ellie and Calvin first teamed up in 2012 for his hit 'I Need Your Love', and now she's eager for the world to hear their latest effort.

The 'Love Me Like You Do' singer messaged in to Breakfast Show presenter Nick Grimshaw, asking: "Can you ask him when our next song is going to be ready/out?"

Put on the spot live on air, Calvin, 32, replied: "I mean, that's insane. It's impossible to say, isn't it? She did record a vocal for me but there's no hook at the moment to that track.

"So it's kind of hard to say. I think she needs to get back in in order to finish it.

"I can't just conjure something up. I'm not trying to do a Kylie [Minogue] and Jason [Donovan] 'Especially For You' duet."

A laughing Nick added: "He's not a magician Ellie."

An amused Calvin then added: "It's hard to say Ellie, I'm sorry. But any queries feel free to text me direct, rather than do it live on Radio 1."

But it looks like Ellie - who is friends with Calvin's girlfriend Taylor Swift - will just have to wait her turn as Calvin is working with John Newman next.

Speaking to Capital Breakfast, he said: "It's with John Newman but it's much better than 'Blame'. But also, before that I've got a brand new song with Dizzee Rascal coming out. Dizzee's back, I persuaded him to do basically a track that I really, really wanted to hear him on. And, it just turns out that everyone's really loving it."
