Adam Levine's giant mermaid tattoo took six months

Adam Levine had a giant mermaid tattoo which took six months to complete.

The Maroon 5 singer, 36, shared a photo of the finished piece on his Instagram account and was thrilled with how the artwork turned out after going through multiple painful inking sessions.

The body art itself is of a mermaid riding waves with a sailing ship and the sun in the background.

Alongside a picture of it on Instagram, Adam wrote: "6 months in the making. Thanks @bryanrandolph for absolutely blowing my mind with this one! Woooo hooooo!!!! (sic)"
