Calvin Harris feeling 'very lucky'

Calvin Harris is feeling very "lucky" following his car accident.

The 'This Is What You Came For' hitmaker has thanked his fans for their support after he was forced to cancel a number of shows when he "sustained a number of injuries" during a car crash earlier this month.

He wrote on Twitter: "Thank you so much for your messages and sorry to any disappointment I caused with the show cancellations ... I'm feeling lucky and very grateful [right now] (sic)"

And it was previously revealed that Calvin rang his girlfriend Taylor Swift after the accident, which saw a VW Beetle collide with his Cadillac SUV near Los Angeles International Airport, to let her know he was alright.

A source said: "He didn't want to alarm her. She was very caring when they connected on the phone when it initially happened ... He is keeping an eye on his body to make sure he is 100 per cent this week."

Meanwhile, a representative for Calvin - whose real name is Adam Wiles - previously revealed he had been checked out by hospital staff and is now recovering.

They said at the time: "Adam was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck in a serious collision in Los Angeles. He was examined by doctors and sustained a number of injuries. He has since been checked out of hospital and is now recovering. We wish all the other passengers involved in the incident a fast recovery."

And Calvin has been forced to cancel a further two shows, which were due to take place on Thursday (26.05.16) and Friday (27.05.16).

In a statement on Facebook, his management said: "Adam is still recovering from the injuries sustained in the car accident last Friday. Unfortunately, as a result he will not be able to perform in Las Vegas at Hakkasan tonight, 5/26 and Omnia tomorrow, 5/27.

"He has asked us to pass on his apologies to everyone who was due to attend the shows and hopes to be back to his normal schedule soon."
