Alice Cooper 'feels sorry' for Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne

Alice Cooper has hit out at Ozzy Osbourne after he was accused of having an affair.

The 'Poison' hitmaker has criticised his close pal after it was revealed that the Black Sabbath singer - who is married to Sharon Osbourne - was allegedly having an affair with a celebrity hairdresser.

Commenting on the situation, Alice said: "First of all you marry the person that you're in love with. If you marry the person you're in love with, the last thing that you will do is try to hurt them.

"I really do feel sorry for a marriage that has been together for so many years that falls apart. I go, 'Come on guys, try harder.' It seems like Ozzy and Sharon had a very solid marriage. Hopefully they'll fight through this."

And the 68-year-old singer insists he would never cheat on his wife Sheryl Goddard, who he wed in 1976, and says they trust each other "implicitly".

He added to The Sun newspaper: "There's never been any infidelity in our marriage at all. We trust each other implicitly. I've had girls throwing themselves at me but why would I go for a bologna sandwich when I've got a filet mignon?"

Meanwhile, Sharon and Ozzy - who have Aimee, 32, Kelly, 31, and Jack, 30 together - have reportedly been attending counselling in the hope he can "get his family back".

A source shared: "He wants his family back. The Osbournes have been through thick and thin together and have stayed together through it all. This is putting them all through a really horrible time."

And Sharon praised her daughter Kelly recently when she posted the phone number of Ozzy's alleged mistress Michelle Pugh online.

She said: "Oh, Kelly has the best sense of humour ever. And you know what? In cases like this, what can you do but laugh? What are you gonna do - be angry with her because she loves her mom and dad and she wants us to be together? She loves us. She can do what she wants, because she's an adult. You have to laugh. She is just so funny. I'm always proud of my girl."
