Jane Fonda splits up with boyfriend Richard Perry

Jane Fonda and Richard Perry have split up.

The 79-year-old actress and her music mogul boyfriend have decided to call time on their relationship after eight years together and have put their Beverly Hills home on sale for $13 million as they have decided to live separately.

A source told The New York Post's Page Six Column: "They are selling the house because they will live separately -- they will still be friends."

Perry, 74, confirmed: "That's true. we are still very close."

Earlier today it was revealed that the couple are to sell their Trousdale Estate mansion, which they paid $7.3 million for in 2012.

The former fashion model appears in the advertisement video for the house and shared that she had fond memories of her birthday there four years ago.

In the clip, she says: "Richard and I must have looked at more than 30 houses, and the day we pulled in through the gate . . . I took one look at the house and I knew; I just knew.

"It's a great house for parties. I had my 75th birthday here. There were about 150 and we could have had another 50."

Jane - who has Vanessa Vadim, 48, with her ex-husband Roger Vadim and Mary Luana Williams, 49, and son Troy Garity, 43, with former partner Tom Hayden - previously admitted she could happily survive without a man in her life.

She explained: "The need to please a man doesn't go away. It continues throughout your life, unless someone shakes you out of it.

"I am living with a man now, but if I was alone I would be fine. I don't need to be with a man anymore."
