In breaking news, Robert Pattinson, has confirmed what everybody already suspected – that he's in fact dating "Kristen Stewart".

Speaking at the BAFTA after party at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, Pattinson finally came clean about the relationship saying "It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes. We can't arrive at the same time because of the fans, it goes crazy."

Both Pattinson and Stewart catapulted to mega star status thanks to the "Twilight" vampire film franchise that they both star in, of which the third installment "Eclipse", is set for release in July and will continue the love saga with their characters, Edward and Bella.

Pattinson 23, insists they hadn't previously gone public as an item before now because they didn't want to be harassed by besotted fans.

"This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it's impossible. We are here together and it's a public event but it's not easy. We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention."

Pattinson, who arrived at the ceremony at the Royal Opera House separately to Stewart apparently, was all loved up with his sweetheart once the awards show ended.

Kristen Stewart was honoured with the Rising Star Award from a list of upcoming young actors which was voted by the public for her body of work, no doubt mainly the "Twilight" series.

Stewart will next be seen in coming of age biopic "The Runaways," in which she plays 70's rocker, Joan Jett.
