James Cameron has confirmed the "Avatar" sequel will move away from the jungle and focus on the oceans of Pandora instead.
The visionary director of the history making film, "Avatar" has already been thinking about the sequel to the $2.7 billion movie and has decided not to focus on the same locations as the first film.
Speaking to LA Times, Cameron said "Part of my focus in the second film is in creating a different environment - a different setting within Pandora."
"And I'm going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won't be a rain forest. I'm not saying we won't see what we've already seen; we'll see more of that as well."

"Avatar," starring Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, focused on a future in which humans attempt to take advantage of a valuable mineral on Pandora, due to Earth's depleted resources.
The film was hailed for its groundbreaking filmmaking in which Cameron was able to merge together computer-generated imagery, performance capture, animation and 3-D seamlessly.

Cameron said he wanted to reduce the production time in the second film by at least twenty five per cent.
He also revealed that he's thinking ahead to a third sequel, indicating the plot would expand beyond Pandora entirely to other planets in its "Alpha Centauri AB system."
"We created a broad canvas for the environment of film. That's not just on Pandora, but throughout the Alpha Centauri AB system. And we expand out across that system and incorporate more into the story – not necessarily in the second film, but more toward a third film".
Cameron also divulged that Avatar's re-release into cinemas later this year will include an additional six minutes of footage.
While the movie is being released on DVD and Blu-Ray on April 29, Cameron says he expects people to flock back into the cinemas because they're looking for "that immersive, transportive experience."How James Cameron became a convert to 3DHow James Cameron became a convert to 3D Reuters

hopefully the humans this time use proper tactics and teach those Navi a lesson- during the last bit, try as I might enjoy the spectacular 3D effects and action, I couldn't help cringing as the humans made the most basic of mistakes.
Reply.......because I love Neytiri.
ReplyYES...This makes me so happy, I love Avatar, I've seen it 3 times and I'll be there again to see it when it's re released later this year. I can't wait for the second and the third, hopefully it will be as good as the first. I really hope they keep the main characters in it though. I love Neytiri.
