NICOLAS CAGE BUYS BAD-ASS STEAK KNIFE

What financial trouble? Nicolas Cage ventured out in Alaska this week to purchase one hell of a steak knife!

The ‘Kick-Ass’ actor proves once again he can be just as bad-ass as the characters he plays, after he spent $2000 on a knife.

TMZ reported that when Nicolas Cage was in Anchorage, Alaska on Wednesday, he entered a custom blade shop called ‘Northern Blades’ and asked to look closer at some of the knives.

Cage was so enamored with a Don Dezarn original – which featured a mammoth ivory handle (yes, mammoth, as in the prehistoric animal) and a bald eagle engraved on the four inch blade – that he dropped two thousand dollars to purchase the weapon.

Experts say that the knife is primarily a ‘decorative’ piece, but can be worn as a holstered accessory with “a nice suit”.

But we don’t think Nic will swagger down the red carpet with his deadly new adornment any time soon – he told people inside the store he planned to use his expensive shank to cut a nice piece of steak!

Before he hit financial ruin in 2009, the actor was notorious for his frivolous and strange spending habits. The ‘Face Off’ actor has a history for purchasing strange collectables.

Previous purchases include yachts, jets, castles, (supposedly) haunted mansions, as well as two Bahamian islands, shrunken heads that may or may not be human, king cobras and a pet octopus.

Despite his huge purchases, Cage still owes just under $14 million in unpaid taxes and fees to the Inland Revenue Service (IRS) for the years 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2007.
