We've been worrying for a while that perhaps the true romantic films were fading away from our screens (at least ones that don't involve vampires), overtaken by the likes of 'Transformers' and wizards and all guns blazing. Thankfully, we can report that the genre is alive and well, confirmed by the presence of new flick 'The Vow'.
If you, like us here at The Hype, like your romantic gestures to be a grander than a late-night date at McDonalds, then you're probably going to be as excited as us by the prospect of this film.
Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams appear to be the king and queen of romance flicks at the moment. And despite the fact they've got a couple of major romance-dramas between them (most notably Rachel with 'The Notebook' and Channing with 'Dear John'), the pair show us once again how a great romance film should be done.
Call us girly-romantics (both of which accusations are somewhat true), but this film actually looks so sweet you might explode after watching it. Don't say you haven't been warned.
'The Vow' opens in cinemas on February 9.

I'm agree with Bill's comment's : "but too much kills off ones desire". If you really want to impress any woman you should be an Intelligent guy. Excess of everything is bad, if you show your loving personality to much, well, she's not going to give a respect. Maybe, she'll think you're not much manly. Keep it in balance, make her miss you, but not that much.
ReplyRomantic movies are really boring. I would rather see an action movie or Sci Fi. Saying that, romance is a good way to get a woman into bed, but too much kills off ones desire.
Replyno i like the vampires
ReplyAnd what do you "waste" your time doing then Jerry? Reading reviews of movies you never plan to watch, just so you can write petulant comments and prove to everyone that you aren't quite as intelligent or highbrow as you think your are? Learn to grammar and punctuation, THEN judge the rest of us.
1 Replyand can you tell me what we would lose if the romantic movies faded away? arms? legs? eyes?!! eh ! basically, watching movies, regardless of their genre, is a waste of time
