After numerous arrests and court dates, the wild child actress has been busily resurrecting her film career by undertaking back-to-back films. First was the Liz Taylor biopic 'Liz and Dick', which wrapped filming two weeks ago. Now she's started working on the sexual thriller, 'The Canyons'.The movie has been described as an Los Angeles Noir film, with American adult film star James Deen headlining alongside Lohan. The film, written by controversial author Bret Easton Ellis and directed by Paul Schrader, is about the "dangers of sexual obsession and ambition" among a group of 20-something people who are trying to make it in LA. It's been billed as "...not like The Hills", meaning it's not the glossy MTV style depiction of living in LA.Deen has openly praised Lohan in his blog, often referring to the actress as "awesome"."My favorite part of the day was sitting with Lindsay Lohan (who is amazing) and our director Paul Schrader (who is also amazing) and planning out how we would shoot our love scenes in the movie," he wrote.The production team on 'The Canyons' appear to have a very open mentality about the film, posting photos and updates of the film to its official Facebook page.The most provocative of these photos shows Li-Lo seemingly naked in bed with Deen, filming a love scene. Other photos include Lohan depicting how to shoot a "four-way" with forks and spoons.Deen also noted in his blog that he and Lohan had frequent discussions about how to act out love scenes during filming -- an experience quite different from the world of porn that he's used to.He wrote: "Doing porn is easy... (But) the sex scenes in the movie are obviously not particularly sexual scenes."They are plot driven story intensive scenes. The point of all this is that the three of us talked about how each shot was going to go and the choreography of each scene. We talked for a long time about it and even used props."While this film isn't exactly 'The Parent Trap' or 'Mean Girls', it does appear that Lohan is trying to clean up her act.
