FAMILIES ATTENDING 'FROZEN' SCREENING ACCIDENTALLY SHOWN SEX SCENE

Parents who had taken their children to see Disney's latest animated offering, 'Frozen,' were left rushing for the exits when an explicit sex scene from another film was shown instead of the child-friendly movie.

The Regal Cinemas Park Place Stadium 16 in Florida in the US were experiencing technical difficulties when the incident occurred. During the technical issues, the cinema screened what they thought was supposed to be another cartoon. It turned out to be part of the wrong movie instead.

According to FOX, Lynne Green was attending the screening with her grandchildren when it all went down.

"They put in the filler, it looked like 'Steamboat Willie,' the old Mickey Mouse cartoon, and then all of a sudden it goes into this other scene," Greene said.

FOX reports that the wrong footage was played for around two minutes before the mistake was fixed. According to Greene, it was the longest two minutes of her life.

"It seemed like forever when you're trying to, you know, cover a little guy's eyes," she said. "I didn't have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good."

The cinema offered free tickets to the affected families, and are working to ensure that mix-ups like this don't happen in future.

This isn't the first time children have been impacted during movie screening mishaps.

In January this year, audience goers in Birmingham in the UK were expecting to see Disney's 'Brave' with Princess Merida. Instead they got Tarantino's gory 'Django Unchained.'

Another case of mistaken movies happened in October last year when cinema attendees were expecting to see 'Madagascar 3' and instead got shown 'Paranormal Activity 4.'

Cue the childhood trauma.
