Happy Feet Wins
(AAP - 26 Feb) Australia's George Miller has won the best animated feature film Oscar for his dancing and singing penguin musical, Happy Feet. "Oh gosh," a surprised Miller said as he collected his award. It is a monumental victory for the Australian film industry and 61-year-old Miller, who had been nominated for Oscars three times before but never won. Full Story

Oscars by the Minute: A Breakdown
I CALLED IT! Well, I hate to say I told you so....but I told you so! As I called it on SUNRISE this morning, I predicted THE DEPARTED would take Best Picture and I'm happy to be right! While it might not have taken psychic abilities to predict Best Actor, Actress and Supporting Actress, I do feel kinda cocky that I predicted a Supporting Actor upset (albeit not with Arkin) and a DEPARTED sweep for Director and Picture.
