Bean, 53, has been arrested after allegedly harassing his fourth wife, Georgina Sutcliffe, 34, in London.
The actor, who also starred in 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy, and 'Goldeneye,' visited Holborn police station in Central London on Wednesday, for a pre-arranged interview to discuss a number of abusive text messages and calls made to Ms Sutcliffe.
Bean gave DNA and fingerprint samples to police, before being bailed pending further inquiries.
Authorities were reportedly called to the couple's home in Belsize Park on three separate occasions during their two year marriage, which ended in 2010.
Sutcliffe was Bean's fourth wife, following a three year marriage to actress Abigail Cruttenden (1997-2000), a seven year marriage to actress Melanie Hill (1990-1997), and another seven year marriage to his first wife, childhood sweetheart Debra James (1981-1988).
Despite being unlucky – or should we say 'difficult'? - in love, Bean admitted last year that while he has given up on marriage, he hasn't given up on finding someone else.
"Of course I believe in love despite four divorces. There is nobody who doesn't believe in love," he said.
"But marriage – that fits some people but obviously not me. I love doing just nothing in my free time. I love to be with my kid in Yorkshire. I love it there. Working in a garden calms me down."
Perhaps Bean should invest more time into gardening and less into his ex-wife?
