Never-Before-Seen Robin Williams Outtakes From Aladdin


The unseen clips are included on the newest home release, and feature a number of other characters and impressions Williams did in the studio that, for whatever reason, didn’t make it into the final cut of the film or onto previous DVD or Blu-ray versions.

For the fans (and even for those who aren’t) it’s some lovely, amusing footage showing off the enormous comedic talents the man had.

It’s also rather heart-warming, too.

Disney’s Aladdin is almost 23-years-old and has since had two sequels that make up a trilogy.

1994 saw The Return of Jafar but without Williams, after a dispute with Disney.

Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer and many other characters in The Simpsons, stepped in as the loveable blue Genie.

Two years later, in 1996, the third in the franchise - Aladdin and the King of Thieves - came out and, after rekindling working relations, Williams reprised his famed role.

It’s been just over 12 months since the beloved actor passed away, and while this perhaps serves as a sad reminder, it also gives us a few more memories in regards to the sweet-natured man and the laughter he brought to many via the big screen.
