Benedict Cumberbatch's Otter Impressions Are Truly Amazing

The day when Benedict Cumberbatch was forced to confront the otters who look like him in a public forum type situation.

Some background; back in 2012 a Tumblr post called ’Otters Who Look Like Benedict Cumberbatch’ emerged.

It featured, as one might expect, otters which, to varying degrees, look like Benedict Cumberbatch, and as such things do, it went viral.

Appearing on Graham Norton on Friday, the day of reckoning came, with the chat show host broaching the subject.

"Along with great fame, comes great fandom, and along with great fandom comes weirdos," said Norton.

"Are you aware of when Benedict became famous, his fans decided he looked very like an otter?"

Cumberbatch was then tasked with going that extra mile and taking on various otter-based poses, while a bemused Johnny Depp, his co-star in mob thriller Black Mass, looked on.

Well, he looked on until three otters were needed, at which point he joined in with Norton in snuggling up with the Sherlock star.

A massive bear was even shipped onto the studio floor for one shot, which Cumberbatch summarily duffed up.
